TOMS
I don't really like TOMS shoes. They look like foot condoms to me. The original slip ons and the lace up ones just looked so cheap and ugly to me. Def not worth the $80 they were. But when I saw their botas shoes, I instantly wanted them. I don't know what it was about them. Maybe the padding and the shape? Idk. My friend got them in black, and I loooved them. But she said she got them from Irvine Spectrum, which is about 45 min away from me. And I never go there. So I waited for them to come out in Nordstrom. FINALLY, Nordstrom held them and I got em with a quickness. They only had gray. I luhh heather gray. Here they are:
Oh and they're pink and black plaid on the inside. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. They're not very structured, so it feels like I'm not even wearing shoes. Walkin on clouds. I wear them without the laces because I think they look better that way. The tongue has elastic on the inside so that they stay on without the laces. LOVE THESE SHOES!
Jeffrey Campbell Lita
In the past couple of months, I've added four pairs of shoes to my closet. Which is a lot for me. Two of them were Litas. Here's the first pair:
Lita Spike
These are so heavy! They were my first pair of Litas. Ever. They run a half size big, so I got a 5.5. I ordered them online from Nastygal because they had my size and they were having a 30% off sale on all Litas. I think they ended up being around $144 (tax included & free shipping), originally $188. They're on sale everywhere now, from $80 and up. I was obsessed with these booties! Comfortable and didn't have to get used to walking in them. The spikes are def sharp. I can't take them off by the heel. It does come with extra spikes and studs.
WHAT SUCKED was that 3 spikes fell off in one night. When they first arrived, one spike was missing. Not a big deal. Stuck one back in and super glued it. I wore them out to a club and they were fine. BUT THEN I made the mistake of wearing them to a show (Mat Zo at Exchange) and that's where 3 fell off. So my advice is to not wear them to a show. Or crowded bar. Anywhere where there's going to be rough people, the spikes will fall off.
Now, to have the spikes replaced, I have to take it to a shoe repair shop :(
ON TO THE NEXT:
CoCo Lita
These were limited edition, only sold at Imonni, which is a secondhand vintage store. They're inspired by Coco Chanel, with the black patent leather toecap, quilted shoe, and gold and patent leather chain. The chain harness is removable, which is awesome.
These were $160 plus tax. Same price as regular Litas. I was on the hunt for all black Litas. I saw a pair on misskl.com a while back, but they weren't available anymore when I had the money. Then these came up and I HAD to have them. They fit like regular Litas, so I have them in a 6. They're light, more comfortable than the Spikes, and the chain is so cute!
I think I'm set for Litas. I'm not into those crazy printed ones. I can't pull those off. btw, when I first saw Litas, I didn't like them. I thought they were so chunky. But they grew on me and now I own two pairs. My parents call them Munster shoes lol.
Steve Madden Troopa Boots
Been wanting these gorgeous combat boots for EVER! I'd say over a year. But I never bought them because I have a similar pair called the Graanie, which is the same boot but with a 2 inch chunky heel and it's in brown. But those started hurting my feet, and I REALLY wanted these in black. So my mom bought them for me as my Christmas present :) Been wearing them literally every day. Super comfy and go with numerous outfits.
I got them from Nordstrom for $99 plus tax. They only had one size 6 left, which (of course) was the floor sample. ALWAYS happens to me. Didn't want the display shoe so I had them order it for me. I almost ALWAYS buy my shoes from Nordstrom because they have the best service and BEST return policy. The service at my local Nordstrom hasn't been so great lately though :( Anyway, I think I'm pretty set for shoes for a while!
